The garden of Eden, beyond the bbject
Bianchi e Nardi 1946 is a Florentine luxury leather goods company founded in the post-World War II period. Specializing in the artisanal craftsmanship of fine leathers such as crocodile, python, and ostrich, the company has collaborated over the years with prestigious international maisons, including Dior. Since 2014, the third generation has revitalized the brand, maintaining the excellence of Made in Italy and offering exclusive collections and bespoke services in its Florence boutiques and Milan atelier.
In 2023, Bianchi e Nardi expanded its offering with the Home collection, which includes home accessories such as trays, carafes, photo frames, and jewelry boxes, all featuring fine leather inlays. This line combines Tuscan craftsmanship with contemporary design. Among the new releases, the capsule collection "Il Giardino dell’Eden" stands out—an homage to the beauty of nature, enriched with home fragrances and limited-edition decorative objects. In 2025, this collection will grow through a collaboration with Oltrarno Design for the creation of fully hand-knotted rugs, customized with fine leather inlays.
To celebrate this partnership and the launch of the HOME collection, on the occasion of Salone del Mobile 2025, Bianchi e Nardi 1946 and Oltrarno Design will unveil an Eden Garden–themed installation inside the boutique at Via Bagutta 2, Milan, marking the official collaboration with Oltrarno Design.
Designed by Alessandro Fumagalli, the installation will be a true sensorial journey into the world of luxury and high craftsmanship. A contemporary and poetic interpretation of the Garden of Eden, where each element on display—from rugs to home décor—will transport visitors into a universe of vibrant colors, refined textures, and exquisite details.
On Tuesday, April 8, the Via Bagutta boutique will host an exclusive event in conjunction with the opening of Milan Design Week. From Wednesday, April 9 through the end of the week, visitors will be invited to discover the collection through an immersive experience, where design and fine craftsmanship come together.
Il Giardino dell’Eden is a capsule of exclusive pieces—an expression of elegance revealing a unique vision and flair. Like a painting of a lush world, the Atelier Bianchi e Nardi 1946 welcomes visitors into a refined and enveloping environment, surrounded by furnishings and chandeliers inspired by Gio Ponti. A grand table, precious trumeaux, and bespoke cabinetry set the stage for the brand’s collections, offering a preview where design, nature, and artisanal excellence converge to create truly unique objects.
